Land Registry
A Land Registry lowers the price of buying tiles into the region of the city it stands in, and gives a small gold income. It is unlocked by Prosperity.
Its effects
- Tile purchase cost −2 gold
- Region income +1 Gold
The price of buying a tile rises with the city's own purchase history (Territory and score). The Land Registry takes a fixed amount off that price. It stacks with a Bedesten in the same city: both discounts are deducted together, and the price still never drops below zero.
What it's for
Its discount is smaller than the Bedesten's; in return it has a gold income, so it is not wasted in a city that never buys a tile. In a city that keeps widening its region with gold, building it alongside the Bedesten makes buying tiles markedly cheaper.
When to build it
- In a city that has a Bedesten and keeps growing its region with gold.
- Late in the match, when most slots are filled — it sits at the last tier of the tree, and in a city with a free slot the gold income alone is a return.
The opposing AI builds the Land Registry once its city quota is full and no enemy is near; the weight multiplier that opens once the quota is full is the same as the Bedesten's (The AI opponent).
